Hi, I’m Niall Owen.

I hail from Baltimore, MD, and was raised in a family of musicians and artists, hard workers, and deep thinkers—but moreover, I’m fortunate to have been brought up around a family and community of thoughtful, caring individuals. From family, to friends, to acquaintances, I grew up calling Baltimore “Charm City” first, by referring to others affectionately as “hon,” and by giving pause to listen to others before speaking.

I studied music at UMBC. I worked a couple of jobs while as a student—a lifeguard and camp counselor at the YMCA and on campus. Doing live-sound for my uncle’s jazz orchestra. I interned around Baltimore and DC at recording studios and outfits like Discovery Channel and National Geographic. I worked in custom furniture and woodworking.

Over the years, I’ve reached across every point in my network to explore and experiment (and most importantly) to learn.

I currently spend a majority of my time producing podcast content, collaborating as a multi-instrumentalist, and reveling in the joys of fatherhood.
